1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern use of the mobile app Linuu and the website at https://app.linuu.app (together, the “Service”).
Provider and contracting party is Ramin Göttlich, c/o POSTFLEX PFX-160-469, Emsdettener Straße 10, 48268 Greven, Deutschland (hereinafter “we” or “Provider”). Contact: hallo@linuu.app.
By registering an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. Conflicting terms apply only if we expressly agree to them in writing.
2. Description of the service
Linuu helps families organize documents, tasks, events, household duties, and shared collaboration. The specific feature set may evolve; we will inform you in the app or by email about material changes.
The Service may include optional features (e.g. AI-assisted document analysis, push reminders, family invitations). For these features, our Privacy Policy also applies.
3. Account, use, and community rules
- Use requires a personal account. Information must be accurate; access credentials must be kept confidential.
- Creating your own account requires a minimum age of 16. Younger children may use the Service only via a profile set up and managed by a parent or guardian.
- The Service is intended for private users and families. Commercial use is permitted only with our consent.
- You are responsible for content that you or invited family members upload or create (documents, text, tasks). Unlawful, offensive, or rights-infringing content is prohibited.
- You must not misuse the Service (e.g. automated scraping, bypassing security measures, overloading systems).
No tolerance for objectionable content: We do not tolerate objectionable, harassing, hateful, violent, or otherwise unlawful content, nor abusive behavior toward other members. By using the family chat and other features that let you share content with others, you agree to these rules.
Reporting and blocking: In the app you can report individual messages and block individual members so that their messages are hidden from you. We review reported content within 24 hours and remove content or members that violate these rules. Violations may lead to suspension or termination of access.
You can report abuse or serious violations at any time at hallo@linuu.app.
4. Free use and subscription
The Service may be offered in a free tier. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscriptions (“Subscription”) with an expanded feature set. Whether and on what terms a Subscription is offered will be clearly indicated in the app and in the respective app store.
Subscribing: Paid subscriptions — if offered — are purchased through the Apple App Store. The paid purchase is concluded with Apple as the seller; payment, renewal, withdrawal, and refunds are governed by Apple’s rules and policies. We remain your contracting party for use of the app. Apple’s terms also apply.
Term and cancellation: Subscriptions run on a monthly basis and renew automatically unless cancelled in time via subscription management in your store account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; partial refunds of amounts already paid are provided only where required by law or provided by the store.
Price changes: We will notify you of subscription price changes in good time; for active subscriptions, the rules of the respective store and applicable law apply.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB), you generally have a right of withdrawal for paid contracts. For digital content and services that start immediately, the right of withdrawal may expire if you have expressly agreed that we begin performance before the withdrawal period ends and you have confirmed your awareness of this consequence (Section 356(5) BGB). Details for subscription purchases via the App Store follow Apple’s store processes.
6. Availability and changes
We strive for stable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or force majeure may cause limitations.
We may develop the Service or adjust individual features. If existing subscribers are materially disadvantaged, we will inform you in good time; statutory rights remain unaffected.
7. AI features and notices
Where offered, documents may be analyzed automatically (e.g. detected events or tasks). Results are assistance only and do not replace legal, tax, or other professional advice. You should verify content yourself before making binding decisions.
8. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence in breaching essential contractual duties, liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of contracting; otherwise liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
We are liable for data loss only if you have taken reasonable backups. Liability under product liability law remains unaffected.
9. Termination and account deletion
You may delete your account at any time in the app or contact us at hallo@linuu.app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends; stored content is deleted or anonymized according to our Privacy Policy unless statutory retention obligations apply. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately in the App Store.
10. Copyright and usage rights
The app, website, and our content are protected. Use outside the Service is not permitted. For content you provide, you grant us the rights to store and process it to operate the Service and — where you initiate it — to share it with family members in your family space.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms when law, technology, or the offering changes. We will inform you in the app or by email about material changes. If you do not object within six weeks of notification, the amended Terms are deemed accepted; we will point this out in the notification. Objecting entitles you to terminate the user relationship in the ordinary way.
12. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law, or special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Greven. For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
If individual provisions are invalid, the remainder of the contract remains effective. Further information is available in the Legal notice and our Privacy Policy.
